Documentary of Environmental Protection Public Welfare Thematic Party Day Activity of the Third Party Branch of Teachers and Students of QMES
In order to implement the spirit of 20th National Congress of CPC and response Xi Jinping’s instruction on conducting the activities of learning from Lei Feng, and make the activities of learning from Lei Feng integrate to daily life, on March 18, 2023, the Third Party Branch of Teachers and Students of QMES carried out Environmental Protection Public Welfare Thematic Party Day Activity——The Thematic Educational Activity of “Implementing the Spirit of the 20th National Congress of CPC and Carrying Forward the Spirit of Lei Feng”. Teacher Gao Bei, Assistant of Party affairs of Party Committee of QMES, Teacher Song Jiayin, member of the Party Branch, and more than 20 volunteers of the Party Branch participated in the activity.
At 9 am of March 18, members of the Party Branch set out from the east gate of Chang’an campus, NPU and arrived at the foot of the Qinling Mountains after about half an hour’s drive. During this period, Song Jiayin gave the theme education of garbage classification, calling on students to improve their awareness of garbage classification and environmental protection in daily life.
During the activity, branch members wore gloves and held cleaning tools and garbage storage bags, worked in small groups to clean up garbage along the way. Everyone actively participated in the public welfare activity of picking up garbage and made a contribution to the protection of nature and the protection of Qinling.
After arriving at the rest area, everyone had a simple lunch. In order to save physical strength, students only carried simple food, but they still actively pursued Lei Feng’s spirit of selfless sharing and dedication, and shared their food with each other. They not only gained happiness and energy from sharing and receiving love, but also realized that it is necessary to cherish food in daily life. They also felt Lei Feng’s spirit of hard work, diligence and thrift.
After a simple lunch, members of the Party Branch organized a garbage sorting knowledge competition. The competition items included required questions and quick response questions. The branch members worked in small groups to answer required questions based on practical life. They raised their hands actively to answer the questions and humbly learned the knowledge of garbage classification during the competition. The teachers also participated in the groups and collaborated with the branch members to answer the questions together. This knowledge competition not only increased members’ knowledge of garbage classification, improved the awareness of garbage recycling and environmental protection, but also enhanced the cohesion of the Party Branch.
“Lei Feng is a model of the times, Lei Feng’s spirit is eternal.” The members of the Third Party Branch of Teachers and Students of QMES learn the spirit of Lei Feng in practice. They deeply realize the importance of respecting nature and the significance of ecological civilization construction. Hope that more and more students are willing to spread green culture in the construction of ecological civilization, adhere to the green mission in the practice of learning the spirit of Lei Feng, actively implement the core socialist values, and put lofty ideals, beliefs, and the pursuit of moral quality into practice.
