Documentary on Activities of “Changsha Red Tour Practice Team” of QMES

In order to deeply understand the spirit of the 6th Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee, deeply implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech at the conference celebrating the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Youth League of China, and welcome the successful convening of the 20th Party Congress, the Queen Mary College of Engineering Changsha Red Tour Practice Team visited the Changsha History Museum of the Communist Party of China on July 1, 2022, and successively visited the statue of Mao Zedong, the The team visited the statue of Mao Zedong, the calligraphic art gallery of couplets, the former site of the Communist Party of China Xiang District Committee and the former residence of Mao and Yang Kaihui.

The former site of the Xiang District Committee of the CPC is a secret office , which is also the former residence of Mao Zedong and Yang Kaihui. Here, Comrade Mao Zedong led the movements of workers, peasants, and students, making Hunan one of the most vigorous provinces at that time. Through the precious historical materials and recording of the past life, the members of the practice team have had a deep understanding of the great cause for which the revolutionary forefathers fought bravely with their blood, sweat, courage and wisdom.

In the exhibition hall, students visited six sectors relating to the history of the Party, deeply understanding the brilliant achievements made by the people of Changsha under the leadership of the CPC.

After the visit, the team members interviewed an experienced docent in the museum. The docent shared the experience based on his own history learning as well as expectations to a better life.

Looking back on the past hundred years, we are witnesses of the glorious history. Looking forward to the future, we should realize our aspirations and make achievements in new fronts. The practice activities benefited team members profoundly. On this special occasion of July 1, the team members strengthened their patriotism. Everyone said that, as the youth of the times, they should shoulder the burden bravely, inherit and carry forward the spirit of revolution while pursuing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, and set stage for the 20th National Congress of the CPC.
