Party Members and League Members of QMES Visited the Banpo Museum in Xi’an
In order to help students deeply understand the prehistoric civilization of ancient China, feel the wisdom crystallization of our ancestors, and enhance their cultural confidence, QMES, NPU organized representatives of student Party members and League members to visit Banpo Museum in Xi’an on April 3, 2022.Dai Fuping,Party Secretary of QMES,andHuang Quanzhang, Secretary of Youth League Committee of QMES, participated in this activity.
Banpo Museum of Xi’an is the first museum of prehistoric settlement sites in People’s Republic of China.Banpo relics is the representative of the matriarchal clan settlement of Yangshao Culture in the Neolithic Age more than 6000 years ago, which focuses on the cultural connotation of social organization, production and life, as well as customs and habits during the period of Yangshao Culture.
Passing through the simple and elegant boulevard, everyone came to the exhibition hall of unearthed cultural relics.Starting from the living environment of Banpo people, the commentator introduced the daily necessities such as textile utensils and hunting utensils widely used by Banpo people, many of which can still find similarities in the modern society with the rapid development of science and technology.When watching these colorful unearthed cultural relics, such as the intriguing depicting symbols and widely used painted pottery, the students often feel the rich cultural accumulation and charm of the Chinese nation.
Afterwards, everyone went to visit the Site Protection Hall.The Site Protection Hall is a museum built on the excavation of the ruins, in order to restore the daily life of Banpo people for today’s visitors.Here, the commentator gave a detailed introduction to the life customs and funeral ceremonies of the Banpo people.Through the understanding of the structure and functional layout of semi-crypt houses, urn coffin groups, pottery cellars, sacrificial scenes and burial forms, the students have a deeper understanding of the natural ecological environment during the period of Yangshao Culture.
Through this visit, study and investigation in Banpo Museum, the Party members and League members of QMES have got a deeper understanding of the long and profound historical and cultural heritage of the Chinese nation, cultivated the national spirit with patriotism as the core, and enhanced their cultural self-confidence, all of which are also of practical significance for the responsibility and awareness of inheriting excellent traditional Chinese culture.
