QMES Welcomed the First Batch of 2022 Freshmen

On August 25, 2022, according to the work arrangement of the university, QMES organized the volunteer service to welcome new students of the class of 2022. Cheng Yin, Deputy Secretary of QMES Party Committee, Huang Quanzhang, Director of the Student Affairs Office, counsellor Yuan Menglei, Bi Jialong and 20 student volunteers participated in the activity.

Based on the mode of "one volunteer serving one freshman", the division of the volunteer work is clear. The volunteers contact the freshmen in advance and ensure the freshmen complete their check-in upon the arrival at school.

Since two o 'clock in the afternoon, the new students came to the campus one after another, and the reception was carried out in an orderly manner. The rain could not extinguish the enthusiasm of the teachers and volunteers who took over the heavy luggage of the new students and took the transfer bus to lead them to start their college life.

After the last student registered in the evening, the activity came to an end. The school received a total of 20 freshmen who arrived early. Volunteers demonstrated the meaning of enthusiasm and responsibility through their action.

On the evening of August 25, based on the requirements of relevant departments of the university, QMES organized safety education for the freshmen, introduced the daily management rules and regulations of the university and the pandemic prevention and control requirements, and distributed the College Student Handbook to students to help them learn the training program, academic management regulations and other matters. It is better for students to adapt the school environment as soon as possible, and get ready for the learning mode of Taught in English.

Later on, Liu Yiming, the representative of freshmen, said that in spite of the outbreak, teachers and students of QMES delivered warmth to newcomers, and he will embark on a wonderful new journey with hopes.
