QMES, NPU and Xi’an Youth Palace Worked Together to Build a Social Practice Base

On the morning of June 29, 2022, the Summer Orientation Social Practice Team of QMES and Xi’an Youth Palace held thesigningceremony for the student social practice base of NPU.The instructors of the practice team; Cheng Yin, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of QMES; Wang Wei, Director of the Activity Department of Xi’an Youth Palace; and all members of the practice team attended thissigningceremony.

First of all, Wang Wei briefly introduced the current situation of Xi’an Youth Palace and led the students of the practice team to visit it.Everyone has a further understanding of the teaching content, activity forms and development orientation of the Youth Palace. Subsequently, the two sides jointly discussed the direction of cooperation between NPU and the Youth Palace after the establishment of the social practice base.During the talks, the leaders of the Youth Palace expressed their full support for the establishment of the base, and put forward their expectations for the social practice base and the future work of the Youth Palace. Meanwhile, they hoped that all the students would combine theory with practice, and use the favorable platform of the Youth Palace to carry out a variety of social practice activities, so as to give full play to the long-term benefits of these social practice activities.Li Ziqian, the student representative of the practice team, introduced the help and support that the practice team of QMES could provide to the leaders of Xi’an Youth Palace at the symposium, and put forward her suggestions to strengthen the cooperation between the two sides and jointly build some social practice projects.In addition, she also said that she would further promote the development of social practice projects to ensure that students gain something in the process of practice.

Afterwards, the two sides held thesigningceremony of the social practice base in the Youth Palace, and officially established the “Social Practice Base of NPU and Xi’an Youth Palace”.

The social practice team of QMES, NPU always takes the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important instructions on youth work as a guide, and actively implements and practices the socialist core values.It is also committed to exploring the inheritance of red base and red culture among young people in the new era, grasping the trend of the times, and conveying a positive spiritual culture to young students, so as to continuously enhance their cultural confidence. At present, the practice team has reached a long-term cooperation intention with the “Mobile Children’s Palace” Project of Xi’an Youth Palace, and participated in a series of activities themed “Red Scarf Lecture Hall”, which has been sponsored by Xi’an Municipal Committee of the Communist Youth League andNational Working Committee of Xi’an Young Pioneers, and jointly organized by Xi’an Youth Palace and the Education Bureau of Beilin District. What’s more, it also gave an ideological and political course on the theme of “Internet +” for Yongning Primary School in Beilin District.The team has also reached a long-term cooperation with the Zhaojue Yi School in Xichang and other units to help students in poor and remote mountainous areas to visit these red bases through the Internet.

The establishment of the social practice base for college students will provide students with more opportunities to carry out social practice activities. Next, the practice team will combine the contents and forms of Party history lectures, visits and interviews, exchanges and discussions, field researches, etc. together to better understand the needs of contemporary teenagers, accompany them to thrive, and enable them to grow their talents in practice and to comprehensively improve their overall quality.
