QMES Held A Lecture about Oversea Study Experiences in Germany

On 22^ndMay 2019, Prof. Lai Minjie, NPU Ao Xiang Overseas Talent, delivered a lecture about experiences on oversea study in Germany. Associate Prof. Chen Jun, Vice Dean of QMES, hosted the lecture and students from School of Aeronautics, School of Materials Sciences and Engineering, School of Mechanical Engineering, School of Foreign Studies and QMES attended the activity.

Prof. Lai Minjie graduated from School of Materials Science and Engineering of NPU in 2009 as an Excellent Undergraduate. Then he continued study in NPU and obtained Master’s Degree of Materials Science and Engineering. From 2012 he studied in RWTH Aachen University and obtained Ph. D degree for materials science and engineering. Prof. Lai Minjie also engaged in the post-doctoral researches for two years in the Max-Planck Institute for Iron Research and joined NPU in April 2019 as an Aoxiang Overseas Talent.

Referring to his 6-year study and work in Germany, Prof. Lai shared experiences from five aspects, namely self-introduction, application, study for Ph. D degree, post-doctoral period and life in Germany.
