QMES Officially Launched the Warm-hearted Academic Assistance Volunteer Work in the Spring Semester of 2021-2022 Academic Year

In order to give full play to the pioneering and exemplary role of student Party members, development targets, activists of Party application, and student league cadres in QMES, the Working Committee of the Communist Youth League of QMES has started to carry out the warm-hearted academic assistance work in the spring semester of the 2021-2022 academic year.The Working Committee of the Communist Youth League of QMES has attached great importance to the academic performance of students with learning difficulties. In the last semester, it has organized several online and offline assistance activities, helped more than 100 students in total, and achieved remarkable results.The holding of this warm-hearted academic assistance activity is an important measure to normalize the assistance work for students with learning difficulties, and it is also the specific practice of “Doing practical things for the masses” of the Party Committee of QMES.

The warm-hearted academic assistance work of QMES is mainly for the freshman and sophomores of the college, providing Q&A and guidance for public basic courses and professional core courses.At the same time, QMES has cooperated with the Honors College to implement the “Honor Pilot Program” for all the students of NPU, provided Q & A service and teaching guidance in English subjects, and truly realized an “all-round, multi-level and full-coverage” academic assistance work.

The academic assistance can build a bridge of communication between students, create a learning atmosphere of “mutual learning and common progress”, promote the improvement of academic performance of backward students, exercise the expression ability of students in teaching, and enhance collective cohesion, which is an important work measure to improve the construction of learningatmosphereand class atmosphere.

In order to encourage more excellent students to join the team of academic volunteer assistance, the corresponding volunteer service hours of volunteers will be determined according to relevant regulations.

III. Tutoring Time and Place Arrangement

Tutoring Time: 18:00-23:00 on weekdays (Monday to Friday); 18:00-22:00 on Saturday and Sunday

Tutoring Location: public area of QMES (right-hand direction of the elevator on the 4th floor of East Teaching Building A)

Qizhen Community G113, Block DEFG, Haitianyuan Building 2.

IV. Tutoring Arrangements

There will be 1-2 tutors in charge of each course, who are responsible for the planning and implementation of the specific tutoring of each course.

The time length of volunteer work is based on the sign-in record of the tutoring on that day. There are sign-in points in Qizhen Community of Haitianyuan and the building of QMES. After the tutoring (on duty) work is completed, the sign-in can be performed, so as to determine the time length of volunteer service.
