QMES Held Teaching Affairs Meetings for 2023 Semester B

In order to implement the spirit of the Cadre Meeting of NPU in the new semester and Working Conference on full and strict governance over the Party, QMES held teaching affairs meetings for semester B of 2023 on March 9, so as to deploy and implement the key work in advance, promote the high-quality development of all work of QMES in 2023, further improve the talents training quality of QMES, and lay a solid foundation for international talents training of Sino-foreign cooperative education.

A seminar for teachers on teaching affairs in the new semester was held in XA307, Youyi Campus. The arrangement of the review and assessment, the inspection of teaching files as well as the teaching supervision and training of teachers were discussed. The meeting was held both online and offline. Fan Xiaoli, Dean of QMES, Gabriel Cavalli, Executive Vice Dean of QMES, Zhou Yongcun, Assistant Dean of QMES, and eleven teachers from NPU and QMUL, including Wang Jun, Zhang Chengyu, Chen Biao, Gong Yutong, He Yixuan from the School of Materials Science and Engineering, Zhang Juan from the School of Mechanics, Civil Engineering and Architecture, Zhang Ying and Yuan Zhanbin from the School of Mathematics and Statistics, Shi Xuetao, Chen Fang from the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Faith Nightingale from QMUL, and the staff Yang Ye and Li Yangyang from the Teaching Affairs Office attended the meeting.

QMES also held a spcial seminar on the teaching - students affairs integration of semester B in the Conference Room 413, Chang’an Campus. Associate Professor Zhuang Qiang, the counselor of QMES, Associate Professor Liu Jia, Yang Ye, Director of Teaching Affairs Office, Huang Quanzhang, Director of Student Affairs Office, Qi Yue, Education Manager from the Office of QMUL attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Yang Ye.

The year 2023 is the opening year for fully implementing the spirit of the 20th National Congress of CPC and a crucial year to carry out the 14th Five-Year Plan. With the launching of the teaching affairs meetings of the new semester, all teachers of QMES have clarified the work direction of the new academic year, strengthened the sense of responsibility and mission, which laid a solid foundation for the orderly and efficient development of all work of QMES in the new semester. QMES will further consolidate consensus, continue to deepen the reform of teaching modes, give full play to the leading role of Sino-foreign cooperative education and do a good job in the international talents training.
