Documentary on the Voluntary Activities of Learning the Spirit of Lei Feng of QMES
Lei Feng spirit is named after Comrade Lei Feng, with the spirit of Lei Feng as the basic connotation, and is a kind of revolutionary spirit that has been constantly enriched and developed in practice. March 5th of this year marks the 60th anniversary of Comrade Lei Feng’s inscription written by Mao Zedong and other revolutionaries in 1963. In order to response Xi Jinping’s instruction on conducting the activities of learning from Lei Feng, the “Qingcheng Project” voluntary service team of QMES worked with Volunteer Work Department of the Youth League Committee of QMES to carry out the theme activity of “Learning from Lei Feng”, which shows students’ spirit of serving people and helping people.
Carry forward the spirit of driving the nail, the Qingcheng Volunteer Team is taking action!
On March 5, 2023, the “Qingcheng Project” volunteer service team of QMES went to Hailiang Xinyingli Community of Xi’an to conduct a voluntary activity of promoting water resources knowledge for community residents, calling on residents to protect water resources.
Members of the volunteer service team prepared posters in advance to introduce the current situation of water resources development in China thoroughly, advocating the value of cherishing water resources. At the same time, the volunteers introduced the principle of water purification in the waterworks and popularized water use knowledge for residents based on the assembled water purification device model.
Through this activity, the students of the volunteer team have personally experienced that the spirit of selfless dedication shines forever. They will strive to cultivate the noble dedication feelings and the sense of responsibilities, and to become brave youth in the new era.

Learning from Lei Feng, cleaning starts from me
On March 4th, the Volunteer Work Department of Youth League Committee of QMES organized more than 50 young League members to carry out the voluntary cleaning activity of QMES themed “Learning from Lei Feng, cleaning starts from me”, which vigorously promotes the spirit of Lei Feng and the voluntary spirit of “dedication, fraternity, mutual assistance, and progress”. It is also helpful to jointly create a good college environment.
Student cadres of the Youth League Committee and members of the Volunteer Work Department of QMES led the youth league members to conduct a comprehensive cleaning of the public classrooms, hallways, tables and chairs, meeting rooms, and lecture halls. Volunteers use their actions to mobilize students to participate in volunteer service activities to learn from Lei Feng, actively cultivating a new trend of social civilization, and personally participating in the improvement of the college environment.
Through this cleaning activity, the volunteers implemented the spirit of Lei Feng with actions, creating a strong atmosphere for everyone to learn from Lei Feng and become Lei Feng. At the same time, this activity further helped the work of the Youth League Committee and the Volunteer Work Department of QMES, and contributed to further improving the ability of volunteer service and the level of youth activity organization.
Students actively participated in the cleaning activity.
Mao Zedong called on the people of the whole country to learn from Comrade Lei Feng. Liu Shaoqi, Zhou Enlai, Zhu De, and Deng Xiaoping these revolutionaries all wrote inscriptions for Comrade Lei Feng. A true communist, a person who loves life and is willing to dedicate, and a young person in the new era should learn Lei Feng spirit.
Through this volunteer activity, the students of QMES will always remember and implement the spirit of Lei Feng, and aspire to be a good young person in the new era with ideals, daring to take responsibility, is able to endure hardships and willing to struggle.
