QMES Held a Meeting on the Work of Safety and Stability
On April 28th, QMES held a meeting on safety and stability work at the Conference Room 413, East Teaching Building A. Fan Xiaoli, Dean of QMES; Dai Fuping, Secretary of the QMES Party Committee and Vice Dean; Cheng Yin, Deputy Secretary of the QMES Party Committee and Vice Dean; and all the faculty and staff attended the meeting. It was presided over by Dai Fuping.
At the meeting, Cheng Yin reported the important works, including students’ study, employment, study abroad and psychological condition, etc. The participants analyzed various difficulties encountered by students and discussed countermeasures to promote the development of students. Fan Xiaoli suggested that all departments should attach great importance to and earnestly implement the specific work on the school’s security and stability, sort out security risks, and further put all measures into practice. In addition, student counsellors should take overall responsibility, establish trust and bonds with students, understand students’ thoughts, strengthen students’ safety precautions, facilitate education on laws and regulations, and pay attention to special groups of students, so as to find and solve problems as early as possible.
Dai Fuping conveyed the spirit of the meeting for the secretaries of the grassroots Party Committee (General Party Branch) of NPU, informing the participants of the school’s recent work on safety and stability. He required all the faculty and staff of QMES to further improve their political stance, resolutely unify their thoughts and actions with the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important instruction, beef up the ongoing education on the theme of learning and implementing Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, and use the Party’s innovative theories to improve the ability to prevent and defuse major security risks. It is important to stick to the “Two Upholds” with practical actions and effects, that is, upholding General Secretary Xi Jinping’s core position in the CPC Central Committee and in the Party as a whole, and upholding the Central Committee’s authority and its centralized unified leadership. He stressed that it is necessary to learn from the experience of all parties, and guarantee the safety and stability of the offices, laboratories and students during the incoming holiday. The leadership and staff of the school should set an example by upholding correct ideological positions, keeping the red line of honesty and self-discipline, maintaining the bottom line of safe production and strengthening the campus’ stability and safety. Safety and stability run through all the works of the school, which requires the joint efforts of all members, so as to guarantee the steady and comprehensive development of QMES.
