QMES Came to NPU Taicang Campus for Investigation

On September 25, 2022, Fan Xiaoli, Dean of QMES; Dai Fuping, Secretary of QMES Party Committee; Cheng Yin, Vice Dean of QMES; and other 9 teachers in charge of teaching and student affairs went to the Taicang Campus of NPU for investigation.

On September 26, Zheng Xi, Deputy Director of the Management Committee of Taicang Campus; Wang Haitao, Director of the Teaching Operation Management Center; and Li Enpu, Deputy Director of the Teaching Operation Management Center; guided the delegation of QMES to visit the campus. Then, Deputy Director Zheng Xi, Deputy Director Hu Qin, Wang Haitao, Gong Jian, Director of the Student Affairs Center, Jin Bingle, Vice Dean of the Yangtze River Delta Research Institute, and other 8 teachers attended the symposium and extended warm welcomes to the QMES delegation. During the exchange session, participants had in-depth discussions on internship resources, international teaching and cooperation between college and local government, hoping to have close cooperation in undergraduate talent training, curriculum co-construction, graduation design and construction of internship and practice platform.

On September 27, QMES delegation divided into two groups, and respectively went to Golden Concord Limited (Group) Holdings Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “GCL Group”) and two German enterprises for research. Wu Zhiguo, Vice President of GCL Group, Fang Chao, Production Director of Haering Precision Technology (Taicang) Co., Ltd., Wang Genzhi, Vice President of Asia-Pacific operations of Bos Automotive Systems (Taicang) Co., Ltd., and other relevant staff participated the exchanging meeting. The two sides carried out spirited discussions on college-enterprise cooperation in undergraduate talent training and other aspects, aiming to further strengthen cooperation in innovative talent training and give full play to the advantages and resources of both sides, so as to cultivate more high-quality talents for enterprises and society.

Through this investigation, QMES and GCL Group deeply explored the new direction of the scientific research and innovation and entrepreneurship cooperation of QMES teachers and students in the future. In addition, QMES also set up Social Practice Bases with Haering Precision Technology (Taicang) Co., Ltd. and Bos Automotive Systems (Taicang) Co., Ltd. for students, effectively expanding the school’s practice teaching scenarios and internship and practice platform, which is an important measure to implement QMES’ development strategy and talent cultivation mode.
