QMES Successfully Held an Experience Sharing Meeting on Innovation and Entrepreneurship
In November 2022, the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Culture Month series of activities were successfully launched. Huang Quanzhang, Secretary of the Youth League Committee of QMES, and representatives of the winning teams of previous innovation and entrepreneurship competitions were invited to share their experience in innovation and entrepreneurship education and innovation and entrepreneurship competitions. The lecture was presided over by Lei Qier from the Science and Innovation Department of the Student Union of QMES.
First, Xing Kexin, the leader of the operation group of the NIUVS-5GUAV project, introduced their “Internet +” innovation and entrepreneurship team and project around the theme of “independent innovation, enhancing the competitiveness of scientific and technological innovation”. The project won the gold medal at the 8th “Internet +” Innovation and Entrepreneurship Provincial Competition and was selected as one of the top 500 “Makers in China” SME Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT). The functions of aerial mapping and mobile vehicle speed measurement have been researched and developed by using UAV miniaturization and integration, a key algorithm of UAV control, edge computing and other technologies in the project.
Later, Liang Jingkun, a core member of the E-Flight team, introduced their project. The project won the international gold medal of the 8th “Internet +” College Students Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, which was the first international gold medal of “Internet +” College Students Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition of NPU. The team mainly conducts their research on green transformation smart glass, including electrochromic glass, transparent photovoltaic cells, intelligent circuits, and system integration. The team has achieved fruitful results. The division of labor among the team members is reasonable. Each of them works hard and has strong comprehensive ability and cohesion, playing an exemplary leading role.
In addition, Gao Zike, the project leader of Bisolar team, also shared the competition experience. Their project won the first prize in the 20th “AAMS Cup” University Students Extracurricular Academic and Scientific Works Competition. She introduced the setting of the “AAMS Cup” competition and popularized the relevant information about the extracurricular science and technology works competition and the entrepreneurship plan works competition. At the same time, she shared the preparatory process of the competition and the writing skills of the declaration.
Finally, Huang Quanzhang gave a summary towards the lecture. He encouraged students to actively participate in innovation and entrepreneurship activities, taking the principle of “finding direction, organizing teams, and raising resources” to strengthen their theoretical and policy learning, improving their comprehensive ability to solve problems in innovation and entrepreneurship practice. He hoped that students could carry forward the spirit of being innovative and not afraid of difficulties, creating a good cultural atmosphere of “mass innovation and entrepreneurship”.
In the face of the unprecedented changes in the world and the global COVID-19 pandemic, enhancing the innovation and entrepreneurship capabilities of college students is the key to national scientific and technological innovation and self-reliance. In recent years, under the support and guidance of the Student Affairs Department, the Youth League Committee of NPU and other relevant departments, the students of QMES have made outstanding achievements in high-level innovation and entrepreneurship competitions at home and abroad. It is believed that with the efforts of all teachers and students, students will further increase their knowledge, temper their will, open their minds and realize their dreams in innovation and entrepreneurship activities. QMES will continue to promote the studying and understanding of the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, and transform the learning effect of the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China into a powerful power to promote the high-quality development of innovation and entrepreneurship, and cultivate more outstanding talents in innovation and entrepreneurship.
