QMES Held the 2021 Special Democratic Meeting of the Education on the CPC History

According to the requirements of the “NPU Notice on Holding the 2021 Special Democratic Meeting of the Education on the CPC History”, QMES held the special democratic meeting at 2:30 p.m. on February 25, 2022.Wan Xiaopeng, Deputy Secretary of the NPC Party Committee; and Wang Yining,Member of the Fourth Circuit Steering Group of the Education on the Party’s History and Inspector of the NPC Discipline Inspection Commission Office, attended this meeting.Members of the leading group of QMES, Section Chiefs of each office and Secretaries of five Teacher-Student Integration Party Branches participated in the meeting as well, with Dai Fuping, Party Secretary of QMES, as the chair.

At the meeting, Kong Jie, on behalf of the members of QMES leading group, introduced the preparations for the special democratic meeting. Guided by Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and through various methods, such as the combination of collective learning and intensive discussion, “Three Meetings and One Lecture” and individual study,staff of QMESfocused on the theme of the education on the Party’s history, and continued to study the spirit of the Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee, the Sixth Plenary Session of the CPC Central Committee, and General Secretary Xi Jinping’s speech at the Mobilization Conference of Education on Party’s History.Before the meeting, members of the leading group extensively contacted the Party members and mass representatives of QMES to conduct discussion and solicit opinionsin accordance with the requirements of “Four Comparisons” and “Four Findings”, so as to carry out self-analysis, identify problems, and complete the inspection materials of the leading group.On this basis, all members combined with their own actual situation, deeply analyzed the causes of these problems, put forward targeted measures for improvement, and made full preparations for the convening of this meeting.

Subsequently, Dai Fuping made a self-assessment remark on behalf of the leading group of QMES from several aspects, namely, the implementation of the rectification measures of the 2020 Democratic Meeting, the collection of opinions and suggestions, the in-depth study and implementation of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, and the spirit of the Sixth Plenary Session of the 19th Central Committee of the CPC, identifying problems, analyzing reasons and putting forward improvement measures. Then, Kong Jie and Cheng Yin made their self-assessment remarks in turn, in which they respectively carried out self-criticism in accordance with their works, and listened to and made their statements for the criticism from other members of the leading group.The members of the group unanimously said that they would sincerely accept the criticism from other members, deeply reflect the existing problems, and rectify them in their future work.

Deputy SecretaryWan Xiaopeng made a concluding speech on this special democratic meeting and affirmed the preliminary preparations made for this meeting. He said that the members of the group have made a detailed analysis of the problems existing in their work and were able to find out the gaps and deficiencies in time.Also, he noted that under the correct leadership of the NPU Party Committee, the support of all units of NPU, and the joint efforts of all the staff of QMES, QMES had achieved fruitful results in 2021, especially the frequent good news from its first batch of graduates, and had gained a good reputation in the field of Sino-foreign cooperation in running schools in the whole country, especially in Shaanxi Province.He hoped that QMES would enhance its political stance, summarize its development experience, condense its fine traditions and constantly innovate its working methods.In the context of the current COVID-19 pandemic, QMES must integrate on-campus and off-campus resources to strengthen the reform of education and teaching as well as the innovation of student management. Meanwhile, staff of QMES should practice General Secretary Xi Jinping’s requirements of “Focusing on Students, Caring for Students, and Serving Students”, in order to contact students, understand students, serve students and consider students,and finally achieve the purpose of educating students.

At the end of the meeting, Dai Fuping, on behalf of the leading group of QMES, thanked Deputy Secretary Wan Xiaopeng for his overall evaluation and specific guidance on QMES’ democratic meeting of the education on the Party’s history, especially for his suggestions on the teaching and student work.He said that the group members would further check and clarify the rectification ideas as soon as possible, improve the rectification materials, and go deep into the students and teachers, so as to ensure that the educational effect of QMES could be further improved.
