QMES Held a Thematic Educational Meeting on Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era

According to the unified deployment of NPU, QMES held a meeting on August 28 to study and implement Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. Dean Fan Xiaoli; Cheng Yin, Deputy Secretary of the QMES Party Committee; Zhou Yongcun, Assistant to the Dean of QMES; Wu Ajing, Director of the General Affairs Office; Huang Quanzhang, Director of the Student Affairs Office; Yang Ye, Director of the Teaching Affairs Office; Yang Yufei, Organizer of QMES Part Committee; and Peng Liang, Deputy Supervisor of the third Supervision and Guidance Group of NPU attended the meeting, which was presided over by Dai Fuping, Secretary of the QMES Party Committee.

Attaching great importance to the meeting, the school leaders carefully formulated the work plan, carried out an in-depth theoretical study through collective discussion, personal self-study and other forms, made a good performance in heart-to-heart conversation, classic case analysis, investigation of tricky problems, and writing inspection materials, making full preparations for this meeting.

At the meeting, Dai Fuping reported on the implementation of the rectification measures proposed at the 2022 Criticism and Self-criticism Meeting, making an inspection on behalf of the team. Subsequently, Dai Fuping and Cheng Yin made inspection speeches in turn, combing with their work responsibilities to carry out self-criticism, and accept suggestions from other members of the team. The leaders faced their shortcomings bravely and achieved the purpose of “Unity - Criticism - Unity”.

Peng Liang made comments on this meeting. He pointed out that the meeting was closely connected with the theme, investigated problems, sought truth from facts, carried out self-criticism, exposed demerits and sorted out problems in a more comprehensive way, and the direction of rectification measures became clearer. Then he put forward two requirements which should be implemented after the meeting: first, all the members should integrate the rectification into the theme education, systematically sort out the problems, formulate rectification plans, and refine rectification measures. Secondly, it is expected to further expand international professional fields and increase the rate of students going abroad for further study. The team members should clarify their responsibility, dare to face difficulties, and constantly promote the high-quality development of the school.

Finally, Dai Fuping made a statement on behalf of the leadership of the school. He expressed that QMES would take this meeting as a new starting point, resolutely promote the work of problem rectification, constantly draw wisdom and strength from Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, make full use of the achievements of the meeting, and consolidate and improve the effectiveness of theme education, so as to ensure the outcomes will be real results in the development of QMES.
