Mid-Term Teaching Conference of Spring Semester during 2018-2019 Academic Year Was Held in QMES
On May 22nd, the mid-term teaching conference of spring semester during 2018-2019 academic year was held by QMES in Meeting Room 335 of School of Materials Science and Engineering, You’yi Campus. Vice Dean Fan Xiaoli presided over the conference. Deputy Director of Office of Teaching Affairs Yang Ye, Staff Ding Jing and Liu Kejia as well as 7 teachers attended the conference.
During the conference, Fan Xiaoli and all of the teachers discussed the quality of undergraduate teaching, the arrangement of the school’s evaluation work, and the standardized management of examination papers and marking. The meeting analyzed the problems found in QMES’ mid-term teaching inspection, and emphasized the standardization of full-English teaching and the importance of improving the quality of classroom teaching. Teachers shared class-room teaching skills and the effective teaching methods. At the meeting, Ms. Zhang Juan introduced flipped classroom and questionnaire as effective approaches to learn students’ mastery of the course content.
This mid-term teaching conference not only summarized the teaching work of the first half semester, but also prepared for the coming evaluation work of Sino-foreign cooperation in running schools as well as the final examination.
