2023 Freshman of QMES Visit the Engineering Practical Training Center.
On the morning of October 8th, QMES organized a visit to the Engineering Practical Training Center for 2023 freshmen.
First, Lv Bing from the Engineering Practical Training Center introduced the overall overview of the center, emphasizing the importance of innovation and practicality. He then elaborated on the benefits of undergraduate students participating in relevant practical courses at the Engineering Practical Training Center from three aspects: the need for interdisciplinary knowledge, participation in innovation and technology competitions, and preparation for further studies and career development. Lv encouraged the students to observe and think more, and to transform their ideas into tangible objects by engaging with the Engineering Practical Training Center.
Under the guidance of the teachers at the Engineering Practical Training Center, the students visited various innovation bases such as the Innovation Community, Competition Base, International Innovation Practice Base, and 3D Printing and Reverse Engineering Laboratory. Through the teachers’ explanations, they gained knowledge in areas such as aerospace engine technology, characteristics of various machine tool processing, and ceramic wire-cutting techniques. Through the visiting experience, the students broadened their horizons and gained a more intuitive and fresh understanding of scientific research and training. It sparked their interest in technological innovation and played a positive guiding role in cultivating students' awareness of scientific and creative thinking.
The purpose of this visit is to cultivate students’ practical abilities and innovative spirit and also to plant the seeds of technological innovation in their hearts. We look forward to students’ participation in future practical and training activities, which will provide them with opportunities to explore and develop in interdisciplinary fields.
