Polymer Polymerization for a Better Life - International Cooperation Branch of The Chinese Chemical Society 2019 National Polymer Meeting was Held
From October 16 to 19, 2019, the Chinese Chemical Society 2019 National Polymer Meeting was successfully held in Xi’an Qujiang International Conference Center, which was sponsored by Polymer Science Committee of Chinese Chemical Society and hosted by NPU. The theme of this session was “New Silk Road Driven by Polymer Chain”. A total of 4720 professors, experts and students from more than 610 universities, scientific research institutes and enterprises attended the opening ceremony. Among them, there were 13 academicians of Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Engineering, and more than 200 Cheung Kong Scholars, Outstanding Youth and Experts of National High-level Talent Program. The total number of participants reached a new high.
Xi’an is an important starting point of the ancient Silk Road. As one of the 20 sub-venues, the International Cooperation Branch (Theme T) of The Chinese Chemical Society 2019 National Polymer Meeting was of great significance in building an exchange and innovation platform for polymer scholars along the route. The chairman of the branch was Professor Kong Jie, Dean of QMES, NPU and Professor Huo Fengwei of Nanjing Tech University.
The International Cooperation Branch was held in Xi’an Qujiang International Conference Center from October 16 to 17. A total of 24 professors from Singapore, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Netherlands, Kazakhstan, Ireland, U.K. and China gave keynote invitation reports. Scholars from Nankai University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Donghua University, Southeast University, Zhejiang University, Suzhou Institute of Nanotechnology and Nano-bionics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Xi’an Jiaotong University and NPU also reported their research results in related fields.
