Deputy Director China of British Council Mr. Danny Whitehead Visited NPU
On the afternoon of March 17th, Mr. Danny Whitehead, Deputy Director China, Ms. Tiffany You, Director China Exams Operation and Ms. Zhang Yilei, Director Exams North and Central China visited NPU. Prof. Yang Yixin, Assistant to the President met the guests in the Third Meeting Room of International Conference Centre.Relevant staff from Office of International Cooperation, Teaching Affairs Department, QMUL Engineering School, NPU, School of Continuing Education, and NPU Institute of Culture and Heritage joined the meeting.
During the meeting, Prof. Yang Yixin expressed his warmest welcome and introduced NPU’s recent development on China-UK culture exchange and international cooperation. Mr. Danny Whitehead introduced the cooperation that British Council has conducted in Shaanxi Province and China. On the foundation of successful cooperation, both sides expected to further deepen cooperation mechanisms of ITLES exams, expand level and scale of joint education, focus on joint research in cultural heritage, explore new talent cultivation mode and together promote the development of China-UK higher education, scientific innovation and economic society.
After the meeting, Mr. Danny Whitehead visited Students’ Innovation and Entrepreneurship Practice Base. He was impressed by NPU’s effective measures in developing students’ innovation ability and spoke highly of students’ performance and achievements in the international stage.
