The Third NPU-QMUL Seminar on Advanced Materials and Structures and Summer School for Doctoral Students Was Held in London
From July 15 to 19, 2019, supported by the Graduate School and Office of International Cooperation, the third China-UK seminar on advanced materials and structures and summer school for doctoral students at NPU-QMUL organized by QMES and AMAS-JRI was held in London. More than 20 professors and 30 doctoral students, including 7 professors and 13 doctoral students from NPU, attended the seminar.
Professor Mike Reece from QMUL extended a warm welcome to the visiting teachers and students, and also looked forward to further deepening cooperation between the two universities in scientific research and talent training through the summer academic exchange. The visiting teachers and students also visited QMUL-NPU AMAS JRI British Laboratory, Advanced Polymer Composite Materials Preparation Laboratory and other research facilities. On the afternoon of July 18, under the chairmanship of Professor Mike Reece, JRI conducted a summary on the two-year academic work and activities since its foundation. Teachers from both sides had an in-depth exchange of the development of JRI and the progress of cooperative projects. They also discussed the theme of this November’s Workshop and the arrangement of next year’s Summer School.
