Party Secretary Kong Jie of QMES Party Branch, Gave A Lecture in the Theme of “Remain True to Our Original Aspiration and Keep Our Mission Firmly in Mind”

On October 28,Kong Jie, Party Secretary and Dean of QMES, gave a Party lecture in the theme of“remain true to our original aspiration and keep our mission firmly in mind”toallParty membersin Lecture Hall 410.

First, Secretary Kong Jie explained the meaning of the theme: as a Party member, our original aspiration and mission is to seek development and rejuvenation for the Chinese nation. He pointed out that for teachers, their original aspiration and mission is teaching students.He also pointed out that education practice should be implementedandhad an in-depth discussion on the question of cultivation which wasput forward byPresident Xi at the conference ontheideological and politicalworkin universities.

Second, based on practice of QMES, Secretary Kong Jie emphasized the characteristics of QMES in teacher construction. With the ideas to improve education quality and develop teacher professions, QMES has established ICLT and conducted relevant seminars, discussions, and training on teaching methodology.

Finally,Secretary KongJieemphasizedthat socialist core valuesarethe basis ofdevelopingpersonalitiesand moral characteristics. At the same time,we shoulddraw more attentionto family values. As young people of a new era, we shouldintegrate the essence of traditional culture withcurrent trends.In addition, we shouldimproveobservationabilityand critical thinking, to developa global visionandput it intopractice, so as tomake contributions tobuilding a community with ashared future forall humankind.
