The Introduction to Chinese Traditional Culture I: Chinese Chess Initiated by QMES Volunteer Team
The Volunteer Team of QMES was initiating a series of classes to introduce Chinese traditional culture to QMES foreign teachers in order to help them to better understand China and promote cultural communication.
On April 11th, the Chinese Chess session drew attention from three English lecturers of QMUL, Alan, Faith, and Agne. Volunteers introduced the history of Chinese Chess, the pattern of the chessboard and the playing to these teachers. All of the teachers considered the first session to be valuable and interesting. The session was a great attempt and has got success in all aspects.
The success of this course not only allows teachers to appreciate the beauty of traditional Chinese culture, but also to increase the confidence of volunteer students of QMES. All of the volunteers are looking forward to the next session.
