A Delegation from the Ulster College at Shaanxi University of Science & Technology Came to QMES for Investigation
On May 11th, 2023, a six-people delegation from Ulster College at Shaanxi University of Science & Technology came to QMES for conducting exchange and research on relevant work of Sino-foreign cooperative education, including He Tao, Secretary of the Party Committee of Ulster College, Xue Chaohua, Executive Vice Dean of Ulster College, Wei Qianru, Assistant to the Dean of Ulster College, Song Chenxue, Office Director of Ulster College and so on.
The symposium was held at the Conference Room 413 of QMES with Fan Xiaoli, Dean of QMES, Dai Fuping, Secretary of the Party Committee of QMES, Cheng Yin, Vice Dean of QMES, Zhou Yongcun, Assistant to the Dean of QMES and other relevant personnel in attendance. It was presided over by Dai Fuping.
On behalf of QMES, Fan Xiaoli extended her warm welcome to the delegation. She then introduced the running situation of QMES thoroughly and actively shared the effective methods of QMES in the assurance and evaluation of teaching quality. He Tao expressed his gratitude for the warm hospitality of QMES, and briefly introduced the running situation of Ulster College. In the exchange and interaction session, the two sides conducted in-depth discussions on degree and academic status management, Chinese and British teacher allocation, Chinese and British curriculum arrangement, the construction of party branch of teachers and students, student performance management, scholarship and grant system, recruitment publicity and talent training plans, etc.
Both sides believed that they benefited a lot from this investigation and hoped to strengthen mutual exchanges and cooperation, broaden the vision of the work, in order to continuously improve the level of school running and talents training, promote the construction of world-class universities and first-class disciplines as well as the high-quality development of Sino-foreign cooperative education of both sides.
After the symposium, accompanied by Dai Fuping, the delegation visited the office area, teaching area and innovative laboratories of QMES.
