     Prof. Zhang Yanning, one of the National Talent, is a member of the Standing Committee of the NPU Party Committee, Vice President, Dean of Graduate School,and Director of the Office of Discipline Development. She works on image processing, pattern recognition, computer vision,and intelligent information processing to combine with the reasearch area related to the country's significant needs, such as asaeropace and aviation. Shehas undertaken more than 40national projects,including critical projects of the National Natural Science Foundation. She has published over 100 academic papers in IEEE TPAMI, IEEE TIP, IJCV, CVPR, ICCV,and other authoritative journals and essential international conferences at home and abroad. She has published three monographs and authorized over 50invention patents nationally. As the first author, she has won one second prize in the National Technological Invention, one second prize in the National Teaching Achievement,and three first prizes in the Provincial and Ministerial Science and Technology Progress.
