Christopher Bray is a Professor of Sciences Education and serves as the Dean for Education of Faculty of Science and Engineering (Quality and Standards). His research interest lies in organic chemistry, focusing on the development of new synthetic methodologies and total synthesis. Additionally, his group maintains a keen interest in natural product total synthesis, particularly those possessing unusual ring systems, where they attempt to mimic the proposed biogenetic pathway to enable easy access to such compounds. Bray’s research contributes significantly to the advancement of organic chemistry and has potential applications in various fields such as materials science.
